Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Haifa in the year 2011, Israel presented the copy of Quran to the Pope Benedict XVI. The presentation of Holy Quran in the long tradition of Islam dates back to time of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It was a kind of practice of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) to send the invitation letters containing the verses of Quran to famous leaders of the world. Letters of invitation from Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), the messenger of Allah, were sent to rulers of Persia, Egypt, Eastern Roman Empire, and Ethiopia.
The tradition of presenting the Holy Quran and the letters of invitation to people continued even in the 20th century. All the followers of Ahmad’s have continued the tradition poignantly and intelligently in the late 1800’s. Holy Quran is a neither a closed book, nor it is secret. For about 1400 years, Muslims of different races and ages have been able to study and share it.
