Quran reading is a very important act of worship for Muslims, it is a Holy book, and Allah sent this book for the guidance of human beings, Islam provides us with unlimited knowledge and education and the Quran is the central book of Islamic knowledge. Through Quran learning we can know the importance of education and realize the full significance of how much emphasis in laid in Islam upon the acquisition of knowledge.
Education is important for two reasons:
- It gives a person accurate intellectual tools so that, he will be able to think clearly and in the right direction. If one has no education, then one cannot think properly in a right way. Education prepares a person how to think and how to make a knowledgeable decision.
- The next reason is that, one can obtain information from the external world and convert it to useful knowledge only when one has education. A person without education is like a dark room, without light and fresh air, while an with education a person feels as if he is in a room with all its windows open towards outside world, with plenty of light and fresh air.
The knowledge one obtain from the Quran can make our present better and also life after death. Islam is different from other religions because of its special emphasis on achievement of knowledge and education. Education and knowledge are worthless if they do not renovate one’s personal life. No one can find the right path and direction in this world without the right education.
