Islam is the religion which takes people from darkness to light. It is the religion of truth. When Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) spread this for the very first time “La Ilaha Ill Allah Muhammadur Rasool Allah (There is no god only Allah, Muhammad is the Rasool (Messenger) of Allah)”, the people of Arabs actually realized that what the truth is.
Mecca was influenced big time by their tribe leaders such as Abu Lahab, Abu Jahal, Abu Sufyan, Ummia Bimn kalf etc. Nobody could even think of doing something which is against their likings. Accepting Islam was straight away a message to those leaders that they are not going to dominate anymore and the leaders found themselves in an awkward position as well, so they came up with a brutal plan.
All of the tribe leaders socially boycotted the Muslims, Muslims couldn’t buy and sell, their mobility was restricted, people stopped talking to them and above all these influential people used to do physical and mental torture to the Muslims.
They used to say to Hazrat Bilal (RA): “Renounce Islam or swelter and die”, similarly they killed the parents of Hazrat Ammar (RA), Hazrat Khabab (RA) spent a miserable time as well.
It is quite obvious from Quran reading and learning that Islam wants sacrifice. Allah says in Quran which means that whoever struggles in the way of Allah, Allah (SWT) opens up the gates of Hidaya (guidance) for them. May Allah have mercy on all of us.
