We all know that the Quran is the way to get closeness to Allah (SWT) and there are many rewards from Allah (SWT) for the people who recite the Quran. There is a Hadith that explains the rewards of reciting the Quran : Hazrat Ibn Mas’ood (Radhiy Allaho Anho) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) said, “Who so ever reads one letter of the Book of Allah is credited with one blessing and one blessing is equal to tenfold the like thereof in its reward.” I do not say that “Alif Laam Meem” (the alphabets of the Quran) is one letter, but “alif” is one letter “laam’ is one letter and “meem’ is one letter.”
Many people think that if they read the translation of the Holy Quran, they will have the same rewards. It is a wrong thinking; this reward is only specified with the Quranic words which are in Arabic.
Allah (SWT) has blessed us with HIS mercy, other than the Quran and if we do a good deed , we get the reward which is ten times higher as Allah (SWT) says in Quran : “One who brings a good deed, for him will be tenfold the like thereof”.
